This past Saturday I woke up to the news my sister

This past Saturday I woke up to the news my sister Mariah's best friend had passed away. I immediately was overcome with grief and tears. I had just video chatted with Linda, my daughter, Mariah, and Linda's dog a week or so before. Linda was soft-spoken, kind, compassionate, and clearly a deeply sensitive soul. We spoke about vegetarianism and her teaching English to children in China. I felt her overwhelming gentleness radiating through the screen.
Yesterday we confirmed that Linda had taken her own life, largely from what it seems was in the means of calling attention to the horrifying future of climate change. I can only imagine how hard it was for her to feel so alone and helpless in getting out her message in an effective way. The least we ALL can do is to watch her video on climate change, and/or donate to her memorial fund for the environment. Visit the link below (link also in my bio at this time).
